CAD Designer Submission Policy

At Devyam Jewels, we love working with talented independent CAD designers. This policy explains how design submissions work, what we ask for, and how your work is protected. By submitting a design through our "Design With Us" page, you agree to this policy.

1. Who Can Submit

Any individual or studio aged 18 or above may submit original jewellery designs. You may submit as many designs as you like, each as a separate submission.

2. What We Need From You

To review a design, we only require:

  • Rendered images of the design (1 to 8 images, JPG, PNG or WEBP)
  • Video proof of the design, such as a turntable or screen recording of the model in your CAD software, either as a file (MP4/MOV) or as a link (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive or Dropbox)
  • Your name, email, mobile number, and a short description of the design

3. What We Do NOT Need

Please do not send .3dm, .stl, .obj, .step or any other source or production file. We do not request, accept or store source files at the submission stage. Source files are only requested after your design has been selected and commission terms have been agreed in writing.

4. Originality

By submitting, you confirm that:

  • The design is your own original work, or you hold full rights to it
  • It does not copy or infringe any other brand's, designer's or person's design, trademark or intellectual property
  • It has not been sold or exclusively licensed to anyone else

Devyam Jewels may decline any submission that appears to be copied or that we cannot verify.

5. Review Process

  1. Submit: send your renders and video proof through the form.
  2. Review: our team reviews every submission, usually within 14 days.
  3. Selection: if your design is selected, we will contact you by email, phone or WhatsApp. If you do not hear from us within 30 days, the design has not been selected this time. You are free to use it elsewhere.
  4. Agreement: the commission terms (amount or percentage, payment schedule, credit, exclusivity and any changes) are discussed and agreed with you individually after selection, before any source file is shared.

6. Commission

No commission, fee or obligation arises from submitting a design. Commission is only payable for designs that are selected and for which a written agreement has been signed or confirmed by both parties. The terms in that agreement take priority over this policy.

7. Ownership & Use of Your Design

  • You keep full ownership of your design unless and until you agree otherwise in a written commission agreement.
  • Devyam Jewels will not produce, sell, publish or share a submitted design, or a design substantially based on it, without a commission agreement with you.
  • Submitted renders and videos are used only by our internal team to evaluate the design. They are never posted publicly without your permission.
  • Devyam Jewels may already be working on, or later receive, designs that are similar in style or concept. Common jewellery elements (for example a solitaire setting, a halo or a tennis line) cannot be owned by any one party. Similarity alone does not create an obligation.

8. Confidentiality & Data

Your files and personal details are stored securely and are accessible only to the Devyam Jewels team. Submissions that are not selected are deleted from our systems 12 months after submission, or earlier on request. Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. No Guarantee

Submitting a design does not guarantee selection, a reply with feedback, or any payment. Decisions are made at the sole discretion of Devyam Jewels.

10. Withdrawal

You may withdraw a submission at any time before a commission agreement is signed by emailing us with your submission reference (e.g. CAD-12). We will delete the files within 7 days.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version you accepted is recorded with your submission. Changes do not affect submissions already under a signed agreement.
